The word of the day is undoubtedly comeback. Andrea Iannone wants to leave the disappointment of the season's start behind him, including the crash of two weeks ago, aiming to turn things around already at Le Mans. In France he's never managed to reach the podium, last year his efforts went up in smoke after a crash. Yet the Italian prefers to remain confident: “This is a track that I like - commented The Maniac – it's important to be competitive right from the start, trying to bring points home”.

The Suzuki rider arrives in France following testing at Jerez: “I think the team worked really intensely-  he revealed – we tried various solutions on the bike which seem useful, and we've understood which path to take. We hope we can be competitive at a track that offers various acceleration points”.

It won't be Tsuda riding alongside Iannone as in Spain. Taking the Japanese rider's place is Sylvain Guintoli, who also took part in the tests at Jerez. Le Mans will be a special event for the Frenchman: “I have to say I'm excited because our work in Spain was production, especially on day two – he commented – we focused particularly on the hard tyres, which we'll probably use the in the race, obtaining positive results”.

Guintoli has no doubts: “I had chance to get to know the bike and tyres better, clearing up a few doubts – he added – I believe in myself, I'm ready to give it my all in front of the home crowd and make the most of this opportunity”.
