MotoGP: Zarco: the plan? To stay calm and have fun

Zarco, as the old slogan goes, more than a promise is a solid reality. The Tech3 rookie on a complicated track like Austin dared to be second only to Marquez in the second free practice session, with a gap of less than three tenths.

“I am pleased with the way the day went - he explained - In Argentina I realized that in MotoGP you need to work differently than the way I was accustomed to working in Moto2. You have to think a lot about the race. That is what I did in Friday practice, doing a lot of laps with used tyres. However, at the same time, you also have to stay in the top 10 for qualifying and that can be stressful.”

Everything went in the best possible way for practice, although the Frenchman was not in perfect conditions.

“I have a touch of the flu, but when you are pushing you can’t think about it too much. Now I need to rest a bit - he says - At the end of the session I put on a new tyre and everything went well.”

Now you just need to keep going down this path.

“What do I need to do? Just stay calm and have fun.”
