Moto3: FP2: Canet continues to dominate, Fenati 3rd

While Joan Mir dominated the first two rounds of the MotoGP season, in Texas the baton has passed to another Spaniard, in the shape of Aron Canet, who set the pace on day one. And it's not just the fact that he's closed both sessions in first place, but the advantage he holds over the rest of the pack as well as the pace he demonstrated on more than one occasion.

In the afternoon session, #44 set a best of 2’16”750, to close 0.736 of a second ahead of second, or rather Joan Mir, and 0.882 ahead of Romano Fenati who lies third. Fourth is Jorge Martin, the last rider within a second of the leader, ahead of the two RBA team-mates Juanfran Guevara and Gabriel Rodrigo, followed in turn by Italian pair Andrea Migno (+1.324) and Enea Bastianini (1.394).

Ninth for Mcphee, while Niccolò Antonelli rounds out the to ten, more than a second and a half from the front. Nicolò Bulega and Fabio Di Giannantonio, close 13th and 17th respectively.
