Julian Simon is now a real all-rounder and will be back on track again at Austin. In Qatar and in Argentina the Spaniard stood in for Lecuona on the Kalex of team Interwetten, while at Aragon he rode the SBK Aprilia in place of Savadori.
In Texas he will race with the Mistral of Team Tech3, left riderless by Remy Gardner, who has undergone surgery on his fractured left ankle, an injury he sustained at Termas de Rio Hondo.
“I'm really pleased to have this opportunity and have to thank Poncharal and his team - said Simon - I've seen the Mistral on track for many years and can't wait to rider it. I hope Remy is back soon, but I want to enjoy this experience and help in terms of development, if I am able”.
