Moto2: Brad Binder in need of further surgery

Sunday was hard to digest for Brad Binder. The South African rider, ninth in a race won by Franco Morbidelli, had to visit the medical centre due to serious pain in his left arm, the same arm that was already operated on during the winter after he crashed in testing.

Medical staff confirmed that the rider will need further surgery: “This morning my arm was very swollen – commented the Moto3 champion – I had some x-rays which have shown a new break. Also, the plate they inserted has moved. So I need another operation and rehabilitation”.

it was also a day to forget for Remy Gardner. During the first lap, the Tech3 rider crashed out, hit by Nakagami. The young Australian has suffered a fractured ankle and will return to Spain tomorrow for further tests and possible surgery.
