MotoGP: Talus fracture for Rins, no surgery needed

Another injury for Alex Rins, though luckily, this time, it isn't a serious one. Yesterday the Suzuki rider was training with an MX bike when he suffered a small crash, which left him with a painful right ankle.

The Spaniard went to the Ospedale Universitario Dexeus in Barcelona for a check-up and tests showed a small fracture to the talus bone. The medical team, led by Doctors Xavier Mir and Eugenio Gimeno, diagnosed that there is no displacement but there is a bone edema.

Rins will not require surgery but will undergo physiotherapy and magnetotherapy. On Monday he will have another check-up to evaluate his condition before he leaves for Argentina, where the next Grand Prix is taking place.
