The death of late multiple Endurance champion Anthony Delhalle has left an unfillable void in the heart of fans and the team Suzuki S.E.R.T. staff but we would like to think that he himself, from wherever he is now, would say: “race on my behalf… do it for me too.”

And so, the French reigning champion team has decided to go forward in honour of their former captain, putting a replacement on the grid for the next Le Mans 24 Hours who will ride alongside Etienne Masson and Vincent Philippe: Alex Cudlin, a thirty year-old Australian rider, already an Australian Supersport champion, winner in the Superbike category in Qatar and holder of the 2013 Endurance 2013 Superstock title astride a Hamamatsu GSX-R 1000, will be part of the multiple title-holding team.

Cudlin also won the Le Mans 24 Hours with none other than team S.E.R.T. Suzuki in the 2013 edition, demonstrating his skills in these difficult endurance races and that he is at ease on the Suzuki outfitted for the 24 Hours: “I will race in Anthony Delhalle’s name for the rest of the season - Alex is emotional - I will try to do my best to help my teammates, Masson and Philippe. We want to win the sixteenth championship in Anthony’s honour and triumph in the Le Mans 24 Hours. This is the best team in the Endurance championship.”

The race will be held on 15 and 16 April and Cudlin will be testing at Le Mans with the team in late March to prepare for the great 24 Hours classic and the rest of the Endurance championship rounds.
