As MotoGP testing gets underway in Qatar, the Moto2 and Moto3 tests have come to an end at Jerez after three intense days that provide some clues as to who might stand out during the season's opening round. In Moto3 the man of the hour is surely Nicolò Bulega, who having left first place to Aron Canet on day one, went on to top the timesheets both yesterday and today. His time of 1’46”264 proved unbeatable, while the 1’46”232 he set yesterday was the best overall time seen during these tests.

Bulega's main adversary is undoubtedly another product of the CEV in the shape of the aforementioned Aron Canet, very consistent over the three days, and seond today (like yesterday), just 0.074 from first place. Third for Jakub Kornfeil (+0.209), followed by Ramirez, Rodrigo and Guevara. Jorge Martin is seventh (+0.346), proving to be a good acquisition for team Gresini, ahead of Joan Mir (+0.427) and Romano Fenati (+0.476), slightly behind compared to the previous days but still inside the top ten, rounded out today by Mcphee.

Team Sic58 can smile thanks to Tony Arbolino's 13th place (+0.709), while Niccolò Antonelli, Andrea Migno and Enea Bastianini are further back, 15th, 16th and 17th respectively, around eight tenths from Bulega. The current CEV Moto3 champ Lorenzo Dalla Porta continues his apprenticeshio in 19th place, ahead of Fabio Di Giannantonio; both are roughly a second from the front.

In Moto2 Alex Marquez put everyone in their place: the Spaniard set an extraordinary 1’41”989 which saw him close in first place today and overall (the only rider to duck under 1“42), before being forced to sit out due to a 39° fever.

In second place today and overall is Franco Morbidelli, just over a tenth from his team-mate, while Miguel Oliveira is third with his KTM (+0.344). Fourth place for Aegerter, followed by Navarro and Mattia Pasini (+0.485), who has shown impressive speed to obtain sixth place overall.
