SBK: Lightning quick recovery for Cluzel, will race in Thailand

His season began in the worst possible way. Indeed, because on the last lap of the Phillip Island race, Jules Cluzel was struck by Federico Caricasulo, ending his race early. After being taken to the Melbourne hospital, he was diagnosed with a fractured tailbone. This is no small injury, so much that it placed doubt on his participation in the Buriram round, scheduled for the weekend.

The rider from across the Alps, however, did not want to throw in the towel and at the last minute he has announced that he will be at the Asian SuperSport round: “I am in Thailand and I feel ready for the second race of the Championship – the rider announced on Facebook – thanks again to all of you for the many messages of support.” So on Friday we will see him on the track for the first free practice session that will begin at 4:00 AM GMT.
