MV Agusta has brought its latest bombardon to Eicma 2016: it's the new Brutale 800 RR, a bike that unleashes adrenaline and style from every angle. One of the most beautiful nakeds of all time, it focuses on sheer power, technology and, thanks to its "RR" equipment, to the quality package of the Euro 4 standard. We're talking about 140 HP and, according to the technicians, greater rideability thanks to less vibration, 50% less noise with respect to the previous model and a less intensive riding configuration.

MORE POWER - With 140 HP and 13,100 rpm, and maximum torque of 86 Nm at 10,100 rpm, generated by the presence of a double injector for each cylinder. Then we have some new-entries such as the harmonic damper, the new chain tensioner, now mechanical rather than hydraulic, the new camshafts, the new valve guides (completely redesigned and created with new materials to reduce any stress and vibration to a minimum). The noise-proofing extends to the side tank covers, which also act as protection. There is also a brand new countershaft, starter motor, primary transmission mechanism (to improve reliability), and gearing mechanism, redesigned to achieve more immediate, fluid shifting.

DESIGN - The new Brutale 800 RR boasts new aerodynamic shapes sculpted at the front, albeit with the retention of classic style elements such as the full LED ellipsoidal headlight and the exhaust that has an increased profile and capacity (3 litres more). Distinctive elements of the new Brutale include the split seat, concealed passenger grab handles, rear light and LED indicators, but particularly the futuristic structure of the seat support frame, in lightweight alloy, which connects to the trapezoidal tank, (16.5 litres) integrated with the air box, ensuring that the naked's most aggressive character is concentrated at the front. A continuous search for symmetry, also apparent from a side view, from the footpeg plates to the air duct all the way to the front light supports. The bike is available in two colour combinations:  Ice/Metallic Carbon Black and Pearl Shock Red/Metallic Carbon Black.

ELECTRONICS - The bike's upgrading also extends to the electronics, with an updated throttle and EAS 2.0 up&down  electronic gearbox a hydraulic clutch and anti-wheelie system, while engine management, entrusted to the MVICS system, includes an updated Full Ride by Wire multi-map system integrated with the traction control, adjustable with 8 levels. The dash also features a new function in the form of OBD (On Board Diagnostics).

CHASSIS - More power means better stress management, thanks to the new steering damper, with a manual adjustment system on 8 levels, the Marzocchi hydraulic  upside down fork in aluminium (with anodized goal coating and an external compression, rebound and preload adjustment system) and a Sachs rear single-shock, also adjustable. The braking system is fully Brembo with a pair of 320 mm floating discs and four-piston calipers at the front, and a two-piston calliper acting on a 220 mm disc at the rear. A stand-out feature of the RR upgrade are the new forged rims with matte contrast. Completing the equipment is the Bosch 9 Plus ABS, ensuring safety and performance on any road surface.
