The future for team Leopard in Moto2 involves two new elements and one confirmation. The element that won't change is Danny Kent, reconfirmed for the coming season. His team-mate will not be Oliveira though (moving to team Ajo with KTM) but Dominique Aegerter.

However the most important news is that the team will leave Kalex to move over to Suter, that is making a return to the championship. The Swiss chassis constructor was a star of the Moto2 series in recent years, winning three manufacturer's titles and one rider's title with Marquez.

Its commitment to the series then faded, and last December Eskil Suter announced they'd leave the world championship but work has continued in the meantime and the result is the MMX2 that Kent and Aegerter will ride next season in team Leopard colours.

"I am very happy with the partnership with Suter that will begin with the 2017 season - stated Miodrag Kotur, the director of Leopard Racing - We have confidence in the Suter's know-how and desire to be competitive".

Eskil Suter added: “we are looking forward to cooperating with such an ambitious and well-structured partner. We have great goals in common."
