MotoGP, Nicky Hayden to stand in for Jack Miller at Aragon

The Kentucky Kid will replace the injured Australian riding for team Marc VDS

Nicky Hayden to stand in for Jack Miller at Aragon

Nicky Hayden, currently lying 6th in the Superbike World championship and having taken a win at Sepang, will return to MotoGP next week at Aragon.

The 2006 world champ and Honda rider will stand in for Jack Miller, whose season has been conditioned by injury.

Jack was forced to sit out testing at Sepang at the start of the season due to tibia and fibula fractures to the right leg, sustained while riding MX at Bellpuig. He was later unable to take part in the Austrian GP after a crash in warm-up left him with a fractured vertebra and a fracture to his right wrist.

Miller, winner of the Dutch Grand Prix that led to the Australian tradition of the 'shoey' (drinking from his boot on the podium), a scene copied first by Ricciardo in F.1. and then by Valentino Rossi at Misano, should be back in time for the Japanese Grand Prix.

The Kentucky Kid recently found himself on stand-by at Silverstone but was not called upon to race in the end. This time it looks certain.  In this way, HRC can also obtain further feedback about the development of the 'satellite' RC213-V.
