MotoGP, Alex Lowes with Yamaha Tech3 again at Aragon

After the Lausitzring weekend, the Brit will stand in for Smith also at the Spanish round taking place later in the month

Alex Lowes with Yamaha Tech3 again at Aragon

It's proving to be a full-on month for Alex Lowes. Called upon to replace Bradley Smith on team Tech3's Yamaha, after the English rider crashed during the Oschersleben 8 Hours, the rider made his MotoGP debut at the Silverstone round, before returning to the track at Misano.

He was only expected to take part in those two GP events, but he will be riding once again in two weeks' time at Aragon. Smith has not yet fully recovered from the injury sustained at the final World Endurance race, meaning that Lowes will substitute for him during the Spanish round at the end of the month. Before this, however, Alex will compete in the next World Superbike round, taking place this coming weekend at the Lausitzring in Germany.
