Moto3, Bastianini with team Ajo and KTM in 2017

Enea says goodbye to Gresini. Bagnaia could move up to Moto2 with team Sky alongside Fenati

Bastianini with team Ajo and KTM in 2017

Enea Bastianini will leave Honda and team Gresini at the end of the year. In fact, the rider from Emilia Romagna is extremely close to reaching an agreement with team Ajo to ride the official KTM in 2017. Already at the end of last season, the relationship with the team was suffering and there were many rumours about a switch to the Alzamora camp.

This time, instead, the goodbye is certain and Bastianini, after three years with Honda, will move to the Austrian competitor.

This will not be the only news for team Ajo, which will double its presence in Moto2. After losing Zarco in the intermediate class, Brad Binder will move up and he will not be on a Kalex, but on the new Moto2 bike that KTM is developing.

On the other hand, nothing is certain about the second rider. Aki would have liked to sign Francesco Bagnaia, but the rider from Piedmont may find a spot on team Sky. The Italian team had already decided to participate in Moto2 with Romano Fenati, but it could place two bikes on the grid and the second one would be for Pecco.
