A clear message, which seems to shut down any hope. The double win scored three weeks ago at Misano allows Johnny Rea to take another important step towards the title. At the track dedicated to Marco Simoncelli, the Kawasaki rider couldn't have done better Now he's back on the bike for the last time before the summer break. This weekend's event takes place at Laguna Seca: “I'm pleased to get back on the bike - said Rea – because this is undoubtedly a special round".

Tom Sykes continues keep his championship hopes - though slim - alive. Tom enjoys racing at Laguna: “This track is really unique – he added –when you ride it on the scooter you really understand the slopes, especially through the corkscrew, where you go up before going down, and down. It's undescribable”.
After his second place at Misano, Tom Sykes knows that he cannot afford any mistakes, because this could really be his last chance to get back into the title fight.
