SBK, Tom Sykes and Kawasaki: two more years

After having a look around, Tom has decided to stay green alongside Jonathan Rea

Tom Sykes and Kawasaki: two more years

He spoke with everyone, but in the end, Tom Sykes decided to stay where he at least is certain that he'll be on the podium, in other words, with Kawasaki.
A two-year contract that will have him continue to race alongside his inconvenient teammate, Jonathan Rea.

Good news for the green machine manufacturer, who can be certain of a steady spot on the podium, not so much for their rivals and Superbike.

In fact, with Tom out, Ducati and Yamaha are still on the hunt for a top rider. And it would seem that the available spots will soon be occupied by ex MotoGP riders, including (and at the head of the queue) Aleix Espargarò, who could, however, be astride the Aprilia RS-GP, Stefan Bradl and Alvaro Bautista.
