MotoGP, Lorenzo: Rossi in difficulty? I also have other rivals

Arriving at the track, getting on the bike and finding it already perfect is any rider's dream and a reality for Lorenzo at Le Mans. Jorge's performance was never under discussion, despite Pedrosa having finished first during the morning. The 0.3 second advantage over his closest rival in the afternoon went a long way to showing who's boss.

“It's been a great day - he admits - To be able to get on well with the base set-up is always great and we haven't really had to change anything on the bike. I have a few tenths of advantage with respect to the others”.

And Rossi is in difficulty…
“It's only Friday and anyway, I have many other rivals I have to face”.

After the problems at Jerez, how is the new tyre that Michelin has brought?
“Along the straight, it's practically resolved all of the sliding issues. I'm pleased with their reaction and they've made a step forward”.

But the bikes still seem to be moving around a lot…
“The tyres are different to the Bridgestones, the rear causes more movement and this is transmitted to the front too, particularly at this track”.

Does the new tyre help with that?
“Yes, it's resolved part of the problems but now we need to understand how it will behave over race distance”.
