Moto2 FP3: Bradl wins in practice
For perhaps the first time in history, a world championship title was clinched during a free practice session. Such was the case in Moto2 this morning, when it was announced that Marc Marquez would not be competing in the Valencia race. This instantly made Stefan Bradl the new world champion in the middle class.
Perhaps bolstered by this news, Bradl then proceeded to set the fastest lap in FP3 (1'36"966), some .171s faster than second placed Scott Redding. Third fastest was Swiss rider Thomas Luthi, with a gap of .284s to the leaders.
